ENGINEERING


Larice has engineering capabilities which cover engineering studies for heat exchangers, pressure vessels, rotating equipment, instrumentation, electrical facilities, computing, piping, civil works, cost control and scheduling for facilities and revamps. All types of engineering studies are fully managed within our company.


Basic Engineering Design (BED)

The basic engineering design covers:

Front-end engineering and design covers mechanical data sheets of the main equipment, starting from the process specifications issued during the BED and incorporating the specific requirements of codes and standards to be applied to the project in question. It also includes:

Thermal rating of heat exchangers. Preparation of tender packages for the main equipment Development of process and utility piping and instrument diagrams released for detail Engineering. Development of detailed plot plans and hazardous áreas. Elaboration of the main piping, instrument, electrical and civil works layouts. All the studies to be performed before ordering the main equipment

Finite Element Analysis

At Larice Engineering we carry out linear and non-linear finite element analyses as both static and dynamic solutions. Alongside our extensive experience of carrying out finite element analyses for clients, we have a broad base of experience of both structural engineering, kinematics and machine design, contact interactions, tribology and materials science. Choosing the most appropriate and effective method of analysing a client’s design issue and providing an effective solution requires a depth of experience beyond modelling itself and this is one of our key strengths at Larice Engineering.

Using our extensive FEA experience together with broad analytical and real-world engineering experience, we can offer analysis and insight in areas such as:


  • Virtual prototyping and design optimisation: Parametric design studies with rapid turnaround to develop and de-bug existing designs and new concepts.
  • Failure investigations: Ductile failure, Fatigue and fracture mechanics.
